Bader Alsawadi

Chairman of the
Board of Directors

Bader bin Abdulhadi Al-Sawadi is the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Pearl Advisory Asset Management. Bader is a proficient businessman who has abundant experience in both the UAE and Saudi markets in the commercial, real estate, and investment fields. His rich experiences include practical knowledge of setting work strategies, business development, and growth. Witnessing the continuous development of the Markets in the GCC region and in order to meet the market’s pressing needs, he was inspired to establish Pearl Advisory Asset Management. Lead and operated by the best international consultants aiming to integrate their expertise of international standards in consultation to deliver a high standard of excellence and achieve the best of outcomes for their clients.

Rahul Goyal

CIO and Head of
Investment Banking

Rahul Goyal has over 18 years of experience in Investment Banking and Global Markets in the MENA region covering both conventional and Islamic products. His last assignment was at Natixis in Dubai, where he was working as an Executive Director of Global Markets Sales since 2013 responsible for corporates and financial institution sales. In his previous role in Mashreq Bank, he led and managed the origination, structuring, and distribution of corporate and financial institution syndicated loans & debt capital market deals with a value of more than USD 25 billion. He also has an in-depth understanding and expertise in debt restructuring and re-profiling transactions.

He started his career with JP Morgan in Mumbai and held various senior positions at ABN Amro, Mashreq, UBS, and Natixis in Dubai.

Rahul has completed his Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Mumbai and holds a Chartered Accountant degree from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Arup Ganguli

Managing Director,
Head of Corporate Finance

Arup has banking experience of 28 years in corporate & investment banking with leading banks in Dubai, Bahrain, Bombay, and London. He started his banking career with Lazard Group in Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Finance based out of London and Bombay. Thereafter he was with Taib Bank in Private Equity based out of Bahrain. Subsequently Emirates NBD in Corporate Banking across the entire spectrum from mid-sized corporates to large corporates to regional and international corporates based out of Dubai.

Additionally, he was responsible for the contracting sector in the UAE. He managed an asset book of USD 1.1 billion (AED 4 billion) and a liability book of USD 500 million (AED 2 billion). His latest banking position was with RAK Bank as Head of Multinational Companies (MNC) Banking & Loan Syndications based in Dubai. He built the entire MNC banking platform which was managing an asset book of USD 300 million (AED 1 billion). The syndication platform booked USD 135 million (AED 500 million) of syndicated loans in one year. Arup has raised debt of USD 4 billion (AED 14 billion) across business segments and transaction types in the last 10 years. He has extensive experience in capital raising for corporates in infrastructure, aviation, EPC contracting, retail, solar power, desalination, oil & gas upstream and downstream, and petrochemical trading. Arup maintains extensive relationships with decision-makers across the financial services landscape in UAE, GCC, UK & India.

He managed cross-border corporate relationships in KSA, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, India, Egypt, Morocco, Turkey, the UK, Greece, Belgium, Germany, UK & the USA. Arup was on the advisory board of Newbridge Fintech Solutions Ltd. He is passionate about the impact of generative AI in banking and finance.

Pratap Choubal

Senior Executive Officer

Pratap has over 27 years of banking experience. After completing his Management Studies from Mumbai University in 1987, Pratap worked for a short time with a multinational consumer product company in India. He joined Citi in 1988 and worked in several senior roles across the Consumer, Commercial and Private Bank. In 2006, he moved back to Dubai to work with Merrill Lynch, and subsequently attained senior roles in Mashreq Private Banking and Emirates NBD Private Bank.

Farooq Choudhury

Managing Partner

Farooq has over 30 years of experience in the Financial industry. He started his career with ANZ Grindlays in India and held various managerial positions in India and in 1998 joined HDFC Bank as the Head of Wealth Management. In 2000, he joined Merrill Lynch in Dubai and subsequently was Head of Wealth Management for the NRI business (Middle East). In 2009, Farooq joined Deutsche Bank as the Head of the NRI business (Middle East). In 2012, Farooq joined Investbridge Capital as an Institutional Coverage and client Origination.

Faisal Khan

Director, Client Relationships

Faisal Khan boasts an extensive career spanning over 24 years in Corporate and Wholesale Banking, encompassing both conventional and Islamic banking domains. His professional journey has unfolded within renowned financial institutions situated across the UAE, Canada, and the USA. Faisal’s brief tenure also featured a role with Sodexo USA, a global management services corporation headquartered in France. Following this, he transitioned to prestigious international banks, namely United Bank Limited and HSBC. His most recent position was as Assistant Vice President in the Corporate Banking division at Ajman Bank.

Faisal’s academic credentials include an MBA in Banking and Finance from the University of Missouri, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from Eastern Connecticut State University. His profound expertise, coupled with his distinguished educational background, renders him exceptionally well-qualified for the specialized field of private banking.

Anil Pinto

Trading & Execution Head

Anil Pinto has over 13 years of experience with trading, executing orders, and managing financial portfolios. Anil has utilized his superior analytical ability alongside his technical knowledge of electronic trading and execution platforms. Before joining Pearl Advisory Asset Management, Anil worked with Dubai-based financial Institutions such as Emirates NBD, Henneyep, and ASAS Capital Ltd.

Anil holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Mangalore and also is a Certified ACI dealer.
